My daughter and I spent the weekend at Kings Dominion, just north of Richmond, VA, to begin our Summer of Coasters. What a blast! Kings Dominion is an amusement park that has been around for over 35 years. In fact, I remember my family visiting the park when I was a kid. So it was really neat to be able to take Melody.
Kings Dominion has 13 roller coasters and we were anxious to ride them all. Several are relatively new, and since it has been over 10 years since my last visit, many were new to me. But there were some classic coasters that I remembered very well, particularly the quartet of wooden roller coasters.
We arrived at home this afternoon hoping our air conditioner had been fixed, but 87 degree temperatures greeted us when we opened the front door. Fortunately, my parents invited us to crash at their place for a few days until we get a part that will fix the AC. I will update our trip more fully once I get access to my laptop... I don't type as well with my thumbs. I need a full keyboard.
Have a cool evening everybody!
