Today was such a beautiful but frustrating day. The weather was almost perfect. I had a lot of things planned to take advantage of how nice it was, including dropping the top on the car and doing a bit of cruising. There was Maryland Day at the University of Maryland in College Park, where there were numerous activities on campus. We also were invited to join some of the extended family at the Celtic Festival in Southern Maryland, near Prince Frederick.
Upon picking up my daughter from a sleep-over at a friend's house, I found out that my plans were going to be changed. My daughter had been up almost all night with her friends, and wasn't going to be able to function very well without a good amount of sleep today. And that's what happened. Lots of sleep and us doing nothing all day. Again. I feel like I've wasted two days in a row.
The only good news was being able to watch the entire NFL Draft. I was very satisfied overall with how my Steelers did in the draft, and the players all seem to fit needs. Hopefully they will live up to the expectations of Steeler Nation.
The weather is supposed to be pretty nice tomorrow morning, so we'll try again to get out and enjoy the day before the rain begins to enter the picture. Of course, I'll have to get my girl to bed at a decent hour. She's already wide awake as we approach 11 p.m. Too much sleep today.
