I was really intimidated before arriving in New York City, but after spending a few days there, I'm disappointed we didn't stay longer. There is SO much to do!
That said, it is crowded, expensive, and I still can't figure out the subway system.
I don't know why the mayor is so concerned about obesity. From what I saw, most people seem pretty fit. In fact, I was amazed by how many women wear tights as pants (with boots. Always with boots.), and they all looked to be in good shape. I'm hoping fashions change before my daughter starts wanting to wear that look!
Newport, RI, is the typical beautiful seaside New England town. We only passed through, but it's definitely worth coming back to.
When I look at Plymouth Rock, it's hard for me to imagine how they could know that's the actual rock the Pilgrims landed on. There are a lot of other rocks nearby.
Boston drivers are some of the worst drivers I've ever seen. Add in a thunderstorm and my vehicle agitating them with my Pittsburgh Steelers magnets all over the tailgate, and things can potentially get even worse!
Just discovered many of the sites we plan to see in New Hampshire are still closed for the season! Very disappointing. I think we might go back to NYC.
